Linda Clements was presented the Keith Eddie Trophy 2017 at the Norfolk Basket Ball Association Annual General Meeting held at Easton College on Tuesday evening.
The Keith Eddie Trophy was given to the Association by Keith, a National League referee, when he left the area in 1977.
The original intention was that it be awarded annually to a referee but the pool was widened to include those who serve the game in a non-playing capacity so includes Coaches, Table Officials and Administrators.
Linda is a Level Two table Official who never misses a game played by Wildcats who run four teams: Lions I and II in the Norfolk League Men’s Division and Pumas and Tigers in the Women’s Division.
Linda lives some distance from the venue but never takes any payment or expenses for her services to the club which include plenty of administrative tasks.
Linda is also one of the first to volunteer when Table Officials are required for local and regional events. She has regularly officiated at Norfolk Cup and Iceni Trophy finals as well as East Region ICTs.
Linda received her Trophy from John Mann, Life Vice-President of the Association.
Linda was one of a number of excellent nominations received by the Association with John Mann acting as a neutral arbiter.
