Get Qualified

If you think you'd like to get involved, why not become a table official, referee or coach? Become an all-rounder by qualifying as an official! You will expand your knowledge of the sport, allowing your basketball game to get better! It is important to understand the rules of the game in order to play better, so find out how to get qualified! Don't forget, even if you don't play, you can still get qualified!

Any game happening in a league needs qualified officials to referee or table, otherwise it cannot go ahead. So why not put a few of your team members through a course to guarantee you have what you need to play?

Basketball England offers courses in Norfolk with Norfolk-based teachers - so no need to travel too far to get qualified!

UPCOMING COURSES:

Level 1 Referee Course 

DATE: Monday 29th July 2019

TIME: 5:30pm - 9pm

VENUE: Norwich (Venue TBC)

COST: £40.00

There is no minimum age requirement, however, 13 year olds with a knowledge of basketball is sufficient.

(Minimum of 10 candidates for the course to run)

Emergency First Aid Course (including CPR) run by Fisher Health Care

DATE: Tuesday 30th July 2019

TIME: 6pm - 9pm

VENUE: UEA Sportspark, Norwich 

COST: £30.00

Basketball England Level 1 Coaching Course

DATE: Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August 2019

TIME: 9am - 5pm

VENUE: Norwich (venue TBC)

COST: £125.00

The minimum age for this course is 16 years old.
